ENGAGE Global Storytelling seeks to bring the world together.
We are an internationally-minded non-profit organization seeking to inspire global citizens and increase global literacy. We believe in the power of education to connect people, create understanding, and cultivate empathy. We produce content for educators, families, and individuals to expand awareness of the people, places, and issues of the world. Our aim is to explore geography in engaging and interactive ways and promote culturally responsive teaching and learning as we partner with individuals and organizations around the globe.
How we do it
Educate
Our goal is to support K-12 teachers, students, and home learners by creating high-quality geography content. We bring the world into the home and school classroom through videos, online content, magazines, unit and lesson plans. Our materials integrate geography, history, and English language arts state and national standards.
Engage
We make our content fun, interesting, and engaging. We tell the stories of historical and present-day people that connect with human and physical systems. We focus on the “what is there?” “why there?” and “why care?” approach to understanding the world around us.
Inspire
All positive change starts with understanding. Through geography education and storytelling, we help students cultivate empathy and nurture sound thinking, which ultimately will contribute to more peace and stability in the world.
